This application utilizes your device's microphone to automatically detect the string being played and provides guidance on whether to tune higher or lower. A clear visual interface indicates optimal tuning ranges, with an orange region suggesting satisfactory tuning and a green region indicating perfection.

An image of a guitar displays the current note being played, while also offering quick access for manual note selection. The app accommodates a wide array of tunings beyond the standard EADGBE; users can tap the tuning text box to choose from over 100 alternative tunings. Additionally, custom tunings can be created using directional arrows, keeping in mind that changing strings may be necessary to prevent over-tensioning in some cases.

For those requiring alternative reference pitches, the shift function allows adjustments for non-standard A440 tuning, such as orchestral settings. The snap feature enables quick alignment to the nearest detected note.

The app supports both Equal Temperament (ET) and Just Intonation (JI) tuning methodologies and includes a pitch pipe function for added versatility.

Frequency detection ranges from 30 Hz to 4186 Hz (covering unshifted B0 to C8). While optimized primarily for guitar tuning, this application is also beneficial for tuning a variety of other musical instruments.
